Maxine's February Roundup: Free tickets, Absoluter events and hair FAQs.
It’s been another amazing month - even though it's been a wet one for most of us here in the UK!
Valentine’s Day burst into Feb with its normal gusto. I had my own ‘Galentines’ with Rosie; you may have seen my Valentine’s post of Rosie (my wonderful rescue Lurcher) and I enjoying some girl/gal’s time. My personal life is beautifully uneventful - and that’s just the way I like it :)
I made the decision to ‘fly solo’ a few years ago and for me, it was the right one. I have certainly found out so much more about who I am, and what makes me tick. I’m not saying that being single is for everyone, but the decision for me was part of my journey to self. It was quite eye-opening - I needed to rely totally on me - and that showed me what I was made of. I must say I enjoyed every aspect of flying solo, the ups and the downs. It’s allowed me to grow into me.
So, what have we been up to? We attended the CEW demonstration evening in London, which is always an incredible event. It was great to see all the new products coming through. I’m looking forward to seeing who wins in their respected categories.
I was also on the small screen this month! You may have seen my BBC interview; it was such a great morning. Thank you for all the wonderful comments when we shared the interview on social media. I never imagined that little old me would be interviewed live on The BBC at 53!!
I have a few talks coming up for International Women's day, one on my birthday (5th March) at The Copthorne Hotel, Merryhill, West Midlands. What a wonderful birthday present; Afternoon Tea with a room full of amazing women! Tickets are complimentary and can be found on the following link for those of you that fancy joining me for scones and cream:).
You can get your tickets here.
Speaking of scones and cream, we had a fabulous afternoon this week at The Ivy Birmingham. We randomly picked some of our amazing #Absoluters, as in the image above, as a THANK YOU; thank you for being you. This was the first of a series of thank you’s we are hosting around the country so be sure to look out for your invite!! Invitees are randomly selected, so fingers crossed we get to meet you! We would love to have you all there and personally thank each and everyone of you but the logistics of this would be impossible, wouldn't it?
Here's a sneak peek of our event:
Oh… and if anyone missed it, we filmed a Q&A with Eva, an amazing Trichologist, and she went through all of your queries about hair and Absolute Collagen. You can view it here.
