Maxine's December Roundup: Paris, Germany and Christmas Celebrations!
Here's what Maxine Laceby has been up to in December.
Gosh what an incredibly diverse month December has been, from meeting suppliers in Paris, to a 10 day water fast to putting the fairy on top the Christmas tree!
But first, I would like to thank everyone that emailed back from my last roundup. They’ve all been passed on to me and I am busy working my way through the replies. They’re such lovely messages and comments, and I thank you for sending them.
So, what happened this month?
Well, Darcy flew to Paris to attend the Food Ingredients Europe in order to ensure Absolute Collagen is best in class! This event showcases the most diverse range of new and innovative ingredients and we were proud to be part of it.
As for me, I flew to Germany to embark on a 10-day water fast! The Maltese Clinic von Weckbecker was founded by Dr. med. Erich von Weckbecker and offers therapeutic fasting and naturopathic treatment and a promise to ‘reset that button’. And boy did it deliver!
I wouldn't recommend embarking on this at home and would only do under the strict guidance of a well known clinic. But I am pleased to say after four days of what can only be described as hell, as the toxins left my body, I began to feel rejuvenated and somewhat calm! So much so that my youngest daughter Margot said ‘you seem different’ — I assume she means in a good way as she then added you’ll go again won't you!
And let's not forget how lucky I am to have an amazing team where I am 100% confident in their ability to look after our tribe of #Absoluters.
Our Absolute Collagen Christmas Party was a huge success and we seem to be growing as a family rapidly.
Charlotte (second from left) has been promoted to Office Manager and Margot (third from left) is now a full time content creator. Way to go ladies! We do have guys on the team but they’re a wee bit camera shy!
Darcy, Margot and I also spent a wonderful Christmas day with special friends. Darcy then flew off to spend some time with her father and Margot and I now have the dreaded lurgy that’s been doing the rounds. Whilst we are feeling a little sorry for ourselves, we have decided to only venture off the sofa to walk Rosie.
Be sure to continue treating yourself with the power of S.I.R and I look forward to catching up in the New Year.
