Introducing Our New Collagen Anti-Aging Serum

We all know there are many anti-aging serums out there, containing a variety of ingredients and at a variety of price points, all promising to keep you looking young, fresh, smooth, glowing, and free from wrinkles. We’ve been working hard for the last two years to formulate a truly effective and luxurious anti-aging serum that really works. Now, we are absolutely delighted to launch, exclusively for our subscribers only, Maxerum, our very own collagen-boosting anti-aging serum from Collagen Queen Maxine Laceby!

The Best Collagen Building Serum For All Skin Types

We often talk about all the myriad benefits of collagen for skin, hair, nails, joints and more, and our thousands of Absoluters can attest to the skin-boosting, anti-aging effects of our award-winning marine collagen supplements - but now we’ve gone one step further. Enriched with four powerhouse ingredients for better, brighter, healthier skin, Maxerum is an anti-aging serum suitable for all skin types. Plus, it has been specially formulated to take alongside your daily Absolute Collagen dose as part of your everyday beauty routine.

Incorporating hyaluronic acid, Matrixyl 3000, Matrixyl Synthe 6 and bakuchiol, a plant-derived retinol alternative, Maxerum is a nifty little serum designed to lift wrinkles and plump out skin, reducing the visible signs of aging while also providing intensive hydration. Expertly formulated to enhance collagen production and delay photo-induced aging, each 30ml bottle of Maxerum truly packs a punch! And what’s more, with its divinely elegant lavender and rose geranium scent, it offers a fragrant spritz of luxury to your skincare routine.

Our Collagen Serum Benefits

We’ve brought together four impressive, high grade and proven skincare ingredients to deliver a truly exceptional skincare experience. Firstly, we’ve got Matrixyl 3000. This nifty little peptide has been proven to make aging skin actually start to behave like young skin. A clinical trial from Croda found that Matrixyl 3000 delayed photo-induced aging by nearly 4 years in a mere 2 months, keeping participants looking dewy and fresh-faced for longer.

Then, there’s Matrixyl Synthe 6, another skincare powerhouse proven to smooth wrinkles from the inside out, which it does by causing skin to rebuild itself. In a clinical study by Croda, participants found that Matrixyl Synthe 6 increased fibroblast productivity by a massive 105%; this is hugely significant because our fibroblasts create collagen, elastin and fibronectin in the skin.

We’ve also included bakuchiol, a plant-derived alternative to retinol. This handy little compound avoids some of the common side effects of retinol, including photosensitivity, dryness, peeling and redness, while still replicating retinoid binding mechanisms. Bakuchiol is a rejuvenating and moisturising ingredient that gently exfoliates the skin, stimulates collagen production, and works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, which keeps visible signs of aging at bay.

Finally, our last powerhouse ingredient is hyaluronic acid. This skincare superstar is cropping up everywhere at the moment to rave reviews, and for good reason, as it has fantastic hydrating dermatological benefits. Hyaluronic acid delivers ultra smoothing hydration that soaks into skin without any oiliness. Our own skin cells actually produce hyaluronic acid naturally in a bid to maintain moisture levels, and a single gram of this nifty ingredient can hold up to an impressive six litres of water.

Taken together, these specially developed components create a powerful formula for a premium anti-aging serum that moisturises, plumps, smoothes and nourishes the skin for a more youthful, glowing complexion.

How To Use Our Collagen Face Serum

Maxerum has been expertly formulated to slot effortlessly into your daily skincare and beauty regime. We recommend applying twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

  1. After cleansing and drying your face, you’re all set to apply Maxerum.
  2. Apply 3 drops onto your fingertips - we recommend using around a 20 pence piece's worth of serum.
  3. Apply in sweeping, upwards motions onto your face, and ensuring you cover your face, neck and decolletage. Avoid the eye area.
  4. Leave to dry for five minutes, and then apply your favourite treatment creams and SPF.

It's important to note that Maxerum is not a lightweight serum, as it is densely packed full of natural ingredients. We deliberately wanted not to add additional chemicals to the base that give lightweight serums their lightness, as we wanted to keep it as natural as we could. As such, you may notice that Maxerum has a slightly sticky texture when applied to the skin compared to other serums you may be used to - this is normal, and just means you should wait until it has fully been absorbed before adding your favourite creams, SPF, and makeup. Also, remember not to over-apply; a little bit of Maxerum goes a long way!

For maximum benefit and impact, we recommend using our Maxerum anti-aging collagen-boosting serum alongside your regular daily sachet of our Absolute Collagen supplements.

Our hydrolysed marine collagen supplements are ready-mixed and ready to take, and have been formulated to contain the maximum amount of collagen in the smallest dose, with 8000mg of collagen per 10ml sachet. By incorporating Absolute Collagen liquid collagen supplements and Maxerum anti-aging serum into your daily skincare routine, you’ll be supporting and protecting your skin and body both inside and out, boosting collagen production internally while also moisturising and nourishing your skin to protect from external damage.

In the event that Maxerum does come into contact with eyes, wash with water. If you experience any irritation to your skin, do not continue to apply the serum.

Maxerum contains Citronellol and Citral, as well as Linalool, Geraniol and Limonene; if you have allergic reactions to these ingredients, you should not use the serum.
